Jitey Peters is a Delta State born singer with an amazing vocal ability. She delivers chills to listeners with every note. Jitey Peters is a native of Urhobo, she hails from Sapele, Delta State where she spent most of her child hood.
Jitey started
singing at the tender age of six. Her preferred genre is Alternative Soul, Pop
and R&B. When it came time to forge an identity as a singer she adopted her
original name for her stage name, according to her it’s simple and
original.
She won the
maiden edition of AIRTEL TRACE MUSIC STAR Nigeria and represented the country
on the Continental stage where she came the first runner up.
Her music is
strongly influenced by vocally gifted singers such as Jennifer Hudson, Jasmine
Sullivan, Beyonce, Lauryn Hill, Tiwa Savage and Rihanna as well as any good
music she has come across.
She holds a
B.Sc degree in Health Science at the University of Benin. She has worked as a Radio
presenter at Rhythm 93.7, Silverbird Radio, Benin and as a TV Presenter at Koga
TV.
