Lush Africa announces partnership with Latitude 13 Hotel ahead of Africa Fashion Festival 2nd edition in Malawi

Lush Africa, organizers of Africa Fashion Festival which took place from 25th to 26th
November 2016 at BICC are hereby announcing a partnership with Latitude 13 Hotel ahead of a three day fashion events slated from 24th to 26th of November 2017 at the Latitude Hotel in Lilongwe.

The three day event will have fashion shows from renowned Africa designers, music artists, shoppers paradise where by people will be able to buy African arts and craft and fashion items from the designers.

“This year Lush Africa and Latitude 13 Hotels have teamed up to bring back the epitome of fashion in Malawi. Last year’s event was a success and we are back by public demand.

“We have decided to include music, arts and craft as a way of celebrating the African creative and entertainment industry.
Lush Africa has also teamed up with Nigerian and Tanzania fashion Organisers to bring a bigger and premium fashion show to Malawi,” says Lorraine Mopiwa Kljajic, Lush Africa manager.

In her remarks, Latitude 13 Hotel Marketing and Sales Manager Bridgette Sadyalunda said Latitude is proud to be partnering and hosting the event at the hotel as a way of recognizing fashion as an art.

“We were impressed with Africa Fashion Show last year, the show saw Malawians and expatriates coming together to appreciate fashion from across Africa. This year, since Lush Africa has included art and music, what better venue embraces such talents than Latitude 13,” says Sadyalunda.

Meanwhile, designer applications have been opened and interested designers are encouraged to send profiles to lushafrica@gmail.com.

In 2016, before the two nights of glamour and fabulosity in the first edition of Africa Fashion Festival, Latitude 13 Hotel hosted a cocktail to welcome international designers.

The main showdown attracted both local and international 20 designers and 25 models.
Among others, Nyalisa wear, Mafrica (UK-Malawi), Sandra Designs (Uganda), Adam’s Needle, Bonono Merchants (Lesotho), Esnart Nkosi (South Africa) showcased at the event with music performances from Lulu, Dali, Blaze and John Paulo.
